Q1    What are some of your positive and some of your negative experiences with modern technology?

I feel like I'm still in school & barely getting my homework in before the deadline! I'm still pretty inept-grateful for savvy kids & grandkids! Glad I have a cell phone & learned to text! I like E-mail but am a Facebook-rookie. Enjoy my digital camera, especially the delete feature! No more wasted film! My computer training has been on-the-job medical programs, so I've missed some of the basics that would make things easier-I don't even know what I don't know!

Q2    What are some of your most memorable experiences?

Been reading profiles--some of you have had truly incredible experiences & accomplishments! I don't have much comparable! My most memorable experience was the adoption of our daughter in 1965 & son in 1967. Also seeing them grow up, marry & have children of their own. A few high points over the past several years--participating in the Senior Olympics at Disney World in 1999 (softball & volleyball). Going on opening day to Coors Field Inaugural Season. Trip to Puerto Vallarta with friends and going out on a whale-watching expedition and also seeing a big parade & celebration on Fat Tuesday that we fluked into!

Q3    What fun activities/hobbies, etc. do you participate in?

It's all about the fun! I still play softball, on a coed & a women's team. I ski every chance I get-never often enough!  Glen & I bowl on a couple's & a senior league. I do cake decorating as a sideline/hobby. I belong to Red Hat & Bunco groups. I love to go to the theater & concerts. Son, brother, & brother-in-law play in bands so we stay in touch with our inner Rock 'n Roll! We like going to flea markets & antique shops & shows-I collect Depression glass & lots of other "junque"! We especially like to follow grandkid's activities, & have lots of family get-togethers.

Q4    What are some of the major changes in your life?

Getting older, of course! Adjusting to retirement (semi-retirement for me) after years in the work force. We feel the loss of family members-Glen has lost both parents, I have lost my dad, & each of us has lost a brother too young, as well as aunts & uncles & cousins & friends. We are grateful for my mom, & the rest of our family members! Hard to believe WE are now the older generation!

Personal narrative 2011: 50 years--already??!! Looking back on LHS years, my best times were spent in band activities. It gave me a life-long appreciation of music. Also enjoyed working on the Redskin Reporter my senior year. My favorite classes after band were English, speech, and-can you believe-Latin! I went to beauty school & worked several years as a hairdresser, taking a few years off when kids were small. Career change, I think in 1987-went to work for an ENT doctor for 19 years until him retired-am now part-time in medical records at a GI office. Glen retired from a machine shop & now enjoys working on restoring a 1929 Model A, bowling, & golfing. (I don't golf-can't afford another high-dollar hobby!) We have lived in the same Craftsman-style house for over 35 years-and the remodeling is STILL not done! We have 2 children-Suzy & her husband Cary, & Ed & his wife Veronica. We have 3 granddaughters & 2 grandsons, ages 17 to 24. Not enough room to brag about them! They all live in Loveland, which is wonderful!

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion!
