Q1 What are some of your positive and some of your negative experiences with modern technology?
I really enjoy the ability to communicate with old friends and the ability to send and receive pictures so quickly---It's almost unreal---this is a really nice website and my thanks to the creator and updater.---I also like the ability to find and buy bargains or needed items on EBAY.---I find missing parts for my many old machines that I couldn't find otherwise.------the negative is time flies when online and it takes a lot of time just keeping track of all my digital photos. my wife Norma has flower gardens like the garden of Eden and I've taken thousands of pictures.---If anyone who likes flowers just tell me which flowers and I'll send you some flower pictures.--just need your email address—
Q2 What are some of your most memorable experiences?
The most memorable experience in my life is my personal relationship with Jesus--Ever since I accepted him into my life when I was about 4 years old--he has always been with me and has never failed me---those of you who are Christians understand just what an impact and influence He can have in your life.--He is constantly blessing us and gives us assurance.---I've met a lot of special people in my life and memories are very dear. ---I also had the privilege of working with Grant Tarman in the honey bee yards in Haddam Kansas before going in the Air Force in 1963 to 1967—
Q3 What fun activities/hobbies, etc. do you participate in?
I have many hobbies, (I think too many)---I like creating things and fixing things.--I do metal working--wood working--wood carving(inspired by Mr. Tobler)--I never met a tool that I didn't like, so I have metal lathes, wood lathes, grinders, air compressors, air tools, dental tools, metal shapers, wood shapers, milling machines, welders, torches. drill presses---well I think you get the picture---I need my tools! I also have a large collection of lp records--mostly early country and western and oldies(inspired by classmate Joe Deuth) I used to go to a lot of auctions and garage sales--but enough is enough--I paid the consequences when I'm having to move it all to our new home without the benefit of a freight train.
Q4 What are some of the major changes in your life?
In school I was very shy and didn't know how I would fit into the future--now I'm confident and outgoing and am very satisfied with my life. I have a soul mate wife-- two children,6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren---I am really enjoying retirement and pray that all of you are too.
Personal narrative 2011 I will welcome and answer all emails, and hope to continue to read about all of your lives, ---you are all special !!----God bless you---Dave and Norma
