Q1 What are some of your positive and some of your negative experiences with modern technology?

Our lives do rely in great part on modern technology. I am a googler but not a tweeter. I love email and read lots of news and do research online. I love Skype. Facebook is fun to keep up with family mostly and friends as well from coast to coast. I do need a new cell phone so I can text...or do I really? Don't we all miss the party line phones?

Q2 What are some of your most memorable experiences?

Because we are both natives and went all through Loveland schools together we are often saying "do you remember this or that"..."do you remember what's his name". We indeed all had the best of times growing up and memories by the millions from May Day at Lincoln Grade School on through Teepee, Wigwam, Rag Day, Pet and Doll Parade and on and on. I remember so well that Billy Fogleman was my first boyfriend in the 4th grade....here I am with his brother....go figure.

Q3 What fun activities/hobbies, etc. do you participate in?

We did our share of traveling in younger years and now we enjoy doing anything that does not involve an airport. We have decided we can't imagine anyplace better than Colorado and love the seasons and the beauty of it all. We don't have to go far from home to vacation. We enjoy reading and being with family and friends and just doing whatever.

Q4 What are some of the major changes in your life?

I got rid of some unnecessary body parts like appendix, gallbladder and cataracts. Some necessary ones went away also like a few teeth....miss those.

Changes and growth and successes in our families are fun and positive. I have Great Nieces now...one is 3 and the other two are 1. Two live in Nashville but once again modern technology sure plays a major role in keeping in touch....instant pictures and movies are so fun. My nephew (Shawn) and his wife are now the managers of Ellis Ranch and my niece (Mindy) and her husband are making a name for themselves in Nashville Country Music. My niece (Corrie) works in medical billing.

Personal narrative 2011: I have gone from Loveland and LHS to Colorado Woman's College in Denver, to Washington DC for work with the Government, then back to Denver for a great 20 plus year career in Television. I did a couple short stints in the furniture business and then time in oil and gas, then back to Loveland for a much less hectic life. It's been a good ride and I am looking forward to more of the same.
