Dear Classmates,

The reunion committee is starting to plan your 45-year class reunion to be celebrated in 2006. That means we have a whole year to look forward to this exciting milestone in our lives! We have to start planning earlier because some of us are getting older and are, therefore, much slower.

We need to have a preliminary attendance count so we can reserve venues for our dinner and the mixer/cocktail party. Most places need to know approximately how many people will be there so they can estimate the cost per person for food and beverages. We are asking each of you who are planning to attend to send $50.00 per person ($100.00 per couple) so we will have enough money in our class bank account to make down payments to reserve these places. There will be additional charges later for the picnic, printing and mailing expenses for future correspondence, class hand books and maintenance of your website for the class of ’61. We will be sending final letters with all the information and costs at a later date. Your reservation fees will be credited to your final cost for the reunion.

Tentative plans include an informal Friday night mixer at the Elks Club, optional breakfast at Johnson’s Corner on Saturday morning, a tour of the Loveland art/sculpture sites and an ice cream social on Saturday afternoon, a semi-formal affair (location still to be determined) on Saturday evening and a picnic at the Canon Park by Loveland Lake on Sunday. Dates will be September 15, 16 and 17^th 2006!

You can update your existing questionnaire by submitting a new one or if you have never submitted a questionnaire, please do so now.

While visiting your website, please check out the class directory to see if we have your current mailing and email addresses as well as your correct phone number. Please email us from the site or submit a new questionnaire so we can correct our information for mailing. This helps our classmates stay in touch with each other.

Please sign the guest book while you are on the site. Also please check the “Find These Folks” link to see if you have any information to help us locate them.

Please send any pictures you would like to share with our class from grade school, junior high and/or high school to Luretta Salmons Dawsey, 7404 Barnes Court, Fort Collins, CO 80528. We can add them to our web site, and Miki Roth will make a video that will be shown at one or more of the reunion events. The pictures will be returned to you after we have completed our updating.
