Narrative: After graduation from CSU, I taught chemistry in Rock Springs, WY for 3 years. Then I hired on at Allied Chemical's soda ash (trona) mine west of Green River. It is now General Chemical's mine. I worked for them till age 50 and retired.

We moved to our place in Pinedale where we spent a couple of years building a large log home mostly by ourselves. We raised cattle till last year when we decided to just raise horse hay to sell and pasture and feed a few extra horses in the winter.

During the past five years, I've spent 5 months of the worst of each winter driving a snowplow for the state. It's something to do in the winter when there is not much to do but feed horses.

Big game and especially elk hunting is the major fall activity here, and, unfortunately, it coincides with this year's reunion, so we will probably miss the reunion. Maybe we can make it next time, on the 50th reunion.
