Let’s see…. what’s new…First, I’m totally shocked that Bill Bliss sold condoms out of his locker. I really didn’t think any of us had sex at that age…. Oh, the things we tend to forget…

Mike and I will celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary on June 5th of this year. How we ever made it I don’t know. I think it had something to do with neither of us willing to divide the wealth…. ha! But I’m glad we made it. Our 3 children and 5 grandchildren all live in Loveland so it is easy to maintain a close family. With the reverse rolls estrogen and testosterone play in the aging process, Mike and I love and appreciate each other more each day…. Too bad men don’t get a little more estrogen in their system earlier in life. It would save a lot of marriages…

We aren’t traveling as often as planned. Three or four trips a year is all we seem to get around to, as we spend quite a bit of our time caring for one of our five grandchildren. We did manage to cruise the Panama Canal this past December and have finally decided to take a break from the Hawaiian Islands after visiting there about 15 times. I’m still trying to talk Mike into a walking vacation across Scotland or Ireland. It is wonderful to read that so many of the classmates are enjoying their retirement years.

My mother passed away a year ago…. and even though it was expected, it has taken me this whole year to come to grips with it. We were extremely close. Mike and I purchased her home (Davis Studio) a year before she passed and with the help of my contractor/builder brother Jim Davis (class of ’65), we just recently started updating the interior. And because I have “champagne tastes” I will have to defer retirement for a few more years to be able to finish it in proper style. We now own 3 homes in Loveland. I guess it would make more sense to diversify and at least buy in another state or another country? But they each serve their purpose.

Mike and I are attempting to stay very healthy. Lots of exercise involved… Because we are tied to Colorado and don’t snow ski, winters are a little rough. But in spring, summer and fall we ride our bikes at least 50-60 miles a week…and usually walk an additional 25 miles a week.

And to Carolyn Hanna and Steve and Darla Bower.....remember I promised you a CD copy of all the pictures I was taking at the last reunion? Well, I really like to keep all my promises, (even if it is 5 years later) so if I see you at this reunion, I have a CD for you. I believe I will only be attending the Friday night mixer. Disappointed to see some of the new bios.... and read of the people not attending. We've only got so many good years left.... ha!?
