Narrative

After 30 years of retail management with Sears, I retired several years ago and started

a new career. I have been a Realtor for 9 years, here in the Loveland, Ft.Collins,

Windsor, Greeley area. (It is all becoming one area, with the different towns becoming

like different neighborhoods.) If any of you have not been home to Loveland in awhile,

it has really changed immensely from the "Good Ole Days" that we grew up in. It is

still wonderful, very progressive, beautiful, (the mountains are still there, just as always!)

and has somewhat of a small town feel, although very close to all the sports, etc. in

Denver. We have a lot of premier shopping here (very important!) lots of wonderful

sculpture and art, a local hockey team (the Colorado Eagles) and a fairly new event

center that has brought big name entertainment to the area. Well, enough about that.

I'm starting to sound like the Chamber of Commerce or something! My husband, Marv

and I live between Ft. Collins and Loveland in a house that is much too large now that

the kids have all grown up and moved out to have homes and families of their own.

We have 2 daughters and 1 son, which with their spouses and children end up being

18 at my house for holidays! We really should downsize, as dusting and vacuuming is

low on the priority list at my age, but Marv has a really great garage out back housing

his collection of 1909-1915 automobiles. He does a wonderful job restoring all these

treasures, so, first, it would be difficult to replace the garage, etc. and secondly, who

would want to move all that stuff! I would love to hear from some of the classmates

that moved away and have not been back in some time. I have always lived here in

Loveland, and would like to hear their stories of how life has been, moving away from

family and friends to a different area! I look forward to seeing everyone and visiting at

the Reunion, as well. We are planning FUN things!
