A lot of good memories came flooding back to me when I briefly returned to Loveland for just a few hours in December for the first time in over 40 years.  The occasion was to have my dear grandmother's ashes interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Many of you remember "Gobby" who raised me.  She had moved to California in 1967 to be near me and lived to be 97 years old.  My daughter accompanied me and enjoyed sharing a bit of nostalgia with me.

It whets my appetite for more, and I hopefully can fulfill that at our 45^th reunion.

 

My life in a nutshell:  I have been married to my second husband Perry for 25 years, and we have two sons and a daughter (ages 36, 20, and 34).  Since our younger son is still in college, we are not quite "empty-nesters" yet.  However, we both recently retired (Perry from the aerospace industry and I from a very satisfying 30 year career as a high school English teacher).  We enjoy spending our time between the ocean (near our home) and the desert (Palm Springs).  So far the best part about retirement is not knowing what day of the week it is. I hope to share more with you at our reunion in September.
