I retired in 1999 and have been helping my son in his business since then.

Sandy and I have traveled some since retirement and have made our semi-annual

donations in Las Vegas.  My son and I act as the pit crew on a historic

Winston Cup NASCAR so that takes time to prepare the car.  Our car was

sponsored by Diamond Rio singing group. We race in the western states and had

pole position at Phx. Int. Raceway until we cut a tire.  It is an "E" ticket

ride doing 150 MPH plus down the straight-away.  Hey, it keeps me out of the

bars! Prior to retirement I was the Purchasing and Property Manager for an

insurance company here in Arizona for 22 years.  Finally got tired of the

hassle and decided to call it quits.  I haven't regretted it a bit. We were

not able to make the reunion in 2001.

45 years!  You've got to be kidding!  I won't be able to attend the 2006

reunion as we have a race scheduled for that weekend.  Yes, I am in my second

childhood and still crew a vintage Winston Cup NASCAR Thunderbird that was

sponsored by Diamond Rio singing group. We had the opportunity to meet the

group this year and they all aut6ographed the car.  We race the California

tracks and southwestern tracks with PIR (Phoenix International Raceway) our

home track.  I still would rather do a 150 mph in the race car than 50 mph

on the streets.  Much safer!  I visited the Loveland area on business during

the summer of '05, along with the family.  I got to show my grandson some of

the old haunts but he wasn't too impressed.  It takes more to impress this

younger generation.  I continue to help my son in his business so it keeps

me active and on the go. We do quite a few classic car auctions throughout

the year and have had the opportunity to meet some very interesting people.

Oh, he owns an automotive detailing business and we clean anything from

aircraft to RVs, to horse trailers, and quite a few cars, too. I know all

of you will have a great reunion and "tip" one for me.
