Narative:

My wife, Rita, and I have lived in Oroville, California about 70 miles north of Sacramento for twenty-six years. We met while I was stationed with the California Highway Patrol in Santa Barbara. I'm still working as a fifth grade teacher and Rita works in another local school district. Our three kids are grown up and all working successfully in different parts of the state. We have two granddaughters, who live about 30 minutes away in Chico, California. They're 5th and 6th graders and are avid athletes who we love to watch compete. Rita and I try to travel as much as we are able, whether it is local or long distance.
