Since our 40th reunion we have been blessed with two more grandchildren for a total of eight now. I am still doing medical transcription for McKee Medical Center. I have worked there for 11 years now. Don is still self-employed as the Dwelling Doctor, LLC. Our oldest son works with him. We have done more traveling since 2001. Our youngest son lives in New Haven, CT, so we have visited him and his family several times. Our first trip there was in October of 2001. He had big plans of everything to show us in New York City, but of course, there was much we didn't see because of 9/11. We did get to walk within a few blocks of ground zero. What a humbling experience that was! We did get to see a Broadway show. In 2003, I had open-heart surgery to have my mitral valve replaced. Again, another very humbling experience. With all the prayers from coast to coast, amazingly everything went well. God is so good, and I am still alive to praise and thank Him for all His blessings. Last summer we vacationed in Maine and this summer we visited Lake Tahoe, Flaming Gorge and Dinosaur Park. For a new pastime, we have learned to square dance. What a kick that has been!!!
