Narrative:

After graduation I started working at Sweetheart Lanes. In the spring of 1962, I spent a month in California for training as a pinsetter mechanic. After completing that I continued working at Sweetheart Lanes until July of 1965.

I was hired by IBM in 1965 and after three months of training in New York, I worked at the Boulder site for the next 30 years. During that time I enlisted in the National Guard and had basic training at Ft. Bliss, Texas and AIT at Fort Sill, OK and discharged in 1972.

In 1970 I met a very special young lady, and we married in 1972. Sadly, six days after our 1st anniversary she died in a car crash. I have many great memories of our short time together and thank the Lord for them. Also family and friends were of considerable help after that loss. Since that time I have learned to appreciate the simple things in life.

After retirement in 1995 I have enjoyed the freedom of making my own shcedule of activities. I especially enjoy motorcycle touring, which I started in the late l970's and woodworking. I also help at the church I belong to which I consider to be like a second family to me.
