Narrative I'm still Education Director at Oregon Humane Society...I have two dogs (Ginger & Bessie) who are my official education ambassadors and partners. I go to schools and teach youths about safe and fun interactions with pets, pet responsibility and about our humane society. We have lots of tours too. I have my rat "Edie" meet the kids. He'll be "Mr. Ed" when he grows up. Our "Be Kind to Animals" statewide poster event has an A'Cat'Emy Awards for the 87 winners and had over 4,000 entries this year. You can view the posters on our website (oregonhumane.org) I have day camps all summer for all ages (different kids in each one) We have presentations on everything animal related...dogs, cats, service animals, ferrets, snakes, and special friends like Dina the possum), Plum the chicken, Adam the pot bellied pig, and Legacy a miniature horse etc. We have 60 kids a camp...36 kids plus 24+ teen helpers. Like the trees I planted years ago, that are now huge, I have seen the camp kids grow up and have their own families. Jim is retired and loves his golf time and ebay...and our dogs and cats Julius and Baby. I have 3 grandsons now. My daughter Jill, an R.N. is in Denver and longhaired, baggy pants Chance are 15 and dating Destiny. My son Matt and his wife live in Lacey, WA. They have two very cute, active, and funny little guys, Tommy 4 and Johnny 2. Matt and Sherrod are doctors. He's an anesthesiologist; she is a hospitalist (Internal Medicine).

I think back on the wholesome, simple childhood we all had growing up in Loveland! I feel very lucky to have gone to the Rialto Theatre (watched serials on Super Man, Sky King and newsreels once a week. I swam Loveland Lake once (ok, I floated mostly. Esther Williams times), and went to Loveland High where my biggest concerns were 1) Getting to school on time 2) Did I have a zit I could cover with Clearasil 3) Could we side track a teacher into talking so we wouldn't have homework 4) Having a shaving crème fight downtown on Halloween or 5) Starch my 1,000s of yards of can cans with sugar, while rolling my bobby socks, and then I tying my white bucks. Hope you're all well and doing fun travels and loving life.

I would like to share the following about what I've been up to etc., with my classmates, on this Class of 1961 Web Site.

Narrative I tried singing the scales to be in choir, but was so off key I was rejected. I tried the marching drill squad (always out of step) and was in Pep Club for the Loveland Indians, but never really watched much of the games...other than when Greeley would win and tear our goal post out. I was very good at talking and giggling in classes. I try to remember that when the kids I teach are talking and giggling...ha. Pay back they say is hilarious (for others)!
