Narrative
Narrative: Yippee I began receiving social security this
year. I'm sure a lot of you are doing
this! It's fun to be officially retired
after working so many years as an X-Ray technician. Since the last reunion we have been fortunate to be snowbirds in
AZ square dancing while camping. Both
two of our favorite things to do. In November 2006 Dave and I will celebrate
our 45th wedding anniversary and I praise God for that. For our 40th
anniversary we went to Austria, Germany and Switzerland and it was so
awesome. I'm not sure what we will do
for the 45th. We also have two
wonderful children and their families that live close. Son, Mike lives in
Berthoud with his wife Tara and Zac 16 and Dylan 13. Daughter, Kathy lives in Longmont with her husband Kerry. Her stepson Jeremy is currently going to
CU. It's great fun going to Zac's
hockey games and Dylan's basketball games. Since the last reunion we took a
wonderful two-month trip to Alaska in 2004.
We took our fifth wheel along with three other couples and had so much
fun that we hope to do it again before we get to old!! This spring we plan to go to the Southeast
for at least a month. Hopefully the
flowers will be in bloom in Kentucky, Georgia and North and South Carolina. Currently
one of my greatest joys is helping to lead an interdenominational community
Bible Study in Berthoud. Prior to this
I was a discussion leader for Bible Study Fellowship for 18 years. It has also been fun being involved with the
latest craze of red hatters. I got talked
into being a queen for the Crimson Chapeaux.
Luretta Dawsey joined and we have a lot of fun playing dress-up and
acting crazy.
