Q1    What are some of your positive and some of your negative experiences with modern technology? It has been awesome to be able to e-mail, text or phone messages to my Grandson, Zac when he was in Afghanistan.  He is a Marine and will be going back in October.

Negative- Losing pictures while trying to send them on the computer.  It just doesn't work for me.

Q2    What are some of your most memorable experiences?

Last July Dave and I spent a month going from here to Oregon and back in our fifth wheel.  The coast of Oregon is so beautiful.  We loved going down the Rogue River in Grants Pass on the Jet boat.  Then we went to Northern California from Mount Shasta and angeled toward Reno.  It was really awesome.

Q3    What fun activities/hobbies, etc. do you participate in?

Playing bridge occupies a lot of my time.  I especially like to play duplicate bridge.  Dave and I also get together and play 99, Phase 10, and dominoes with friends.  We continue to square dance and camp with the Mobile Squares but don't square dance much any place else.

We have been updating our house this last year.  After we removed wallpaper from kitchen, dining room, bedroom and bathroom Dave and I were positive that we would never wallpaper again.  Fortunately the contractor was efficient and did the rest of it quickly.  However, it was a big job since we painted part of it and had do a lot of prep work.  It really looks great.  However, any time I mention getting started on the rest we both decide we're too tired.  Guess maybe we'll retire from redecorating for awhile.

Q4    What are some of the major changes in your life?

It seems impossible but my youngest grandson, Dylan, will be graduating 50 years almost to the day of when we graduated.  When I told him that he looked rather astounded that I was that old.  Then when I told him that Grandpa and I would celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary on September 11th he just shook his head.  Funny Dave and I never thought it was so extraordinary.  We have been very fortunate to have a wonderful 50 years.  Our two children and their spouses, Mike and Tara and Kathy and Kerry are planning a party at the Mc C ranch.  It should be lot's of fun. It seems like a great idea to do something positive on September 11th instead of just remembering the terrorism that happened ten years ago.
