Q1 What are some of your positive and some of your negative experiences with modern technology?

Sometimes I love the new technology and sometimes I hate it. Love the security that the cell phone and GPS offer us when we travel. I love spell check when I am typing a letter or document on computer, but hate it when I lose pictures or information because I can't remember where I stored it or hit the wrong key. My "smart" phone is a lot smarter than me a lot of the time. Couldn't live without the microwave, but waiting for the technology that will cook the food and clean the house at the push of a button.

Q2 What are some of your most memorable experiences?

Life has been a wonderful journey with so many memorable experiences.

The births of our children and grandchildren were indeed memorable. Two hip replacements within 16 months was also quite an experience. Travel has been a wonderful adventure. We have especially enjoyed our Mediterranean cruise and the Panama Canal where we renewed our wedding vows on our 40th anniversary. Still have many items on my "bucket list" so hoping to have many more memorable experiences ahead.

Q3 What fun activities/hobbies, etc. do you participate in?

I volunteer at a number of locations, golf on occasion, exercise regularly at the Chilson Center, including water aerobics and Zumba, read, camp in the RV, and still work occasionally as an audiology consultant. I hope to begin some genealogy research this fall. Travel was once a passion, but less so these days.

Q4 What are some of the major changes in your life?

The first big change was marriage some 47 1/2 years ago; graduating from CSU as a speech pathologist, moving to Longmont; giving birth to 2 sons, receiving my M.A in audiology; retirement in 1999, grandparents of 4 beautiful kids-3 boys and 1 girl (the youngest is 5 and oldest is 11; moving back to Loveland 10 years ago.

Retirement has been the most recent major change. We continue to enjoy the winters at our home in Mesquite, Nevada. We are blessed with good health.
