Q1    What are some of your positive and some of your negative experiences with modern technology?

I really love the way Bill takes such good care of everything involving the computer. "I don't compute".  I do use my cell phone and do lots of communication on the phone.  I'm a Gemini - so talking is one of my fortes.

I love reading, using a "Nook", but I need Bill to make the book purchases and get me back on track when I press a wrong button.

I also have become pretty proficient with the TV remote...

Q2    What are some of your most memorable experiences?

After working as a secretary at Public Service Co. in Ft. Collins for 10 years I was able to leave that job and become a partner in the ownership of the Country Boutique, doing what I love most, styling, buying and selling women’s clothing. I enjoyed working in retail clothing for about 20 years.

Most recently I have enjoyed traveling and cruising with Bill to many interesting places throughout the world. Among my most memorable and enjoyable traveling was river cruising on the Rhine, Mein and Danube from Budapest to Amsterdam and the Rhone and Seine rivers in France.

Q3    What fun activities/hobbies, etc. do you participate in?

My hobbies are clothing, shopping, reading, movies and being involved with the lives of our grand nephews and nieces.

And, I enjoy traveling, so long as Bill makes all the arrangements and keeps me from getting lost.

I enjoy keeping in touch with my brothers and sister and Bill's family and with our extended family here in Vancouver.

Q4    What are some of the major changes in your life?

Certainly relocating to San Diego for Bill's work at HP in 1986 was a major life change; leaving family and friends and adjusting to the new area and new home.

Moving to Vancouver, WA in 1996 was a similar experience.  Fortunately, Bill's nephew and niece and their 2yr. old son had relocated a year earlier to Portland.  Our grand niece, Emily, was born in Portland one month after we moved to Vancouver, and we have enjoyed a close relationship with them throughout the years. Scott is now 17 and Emily is 15. They anchored us to this area, which we now love.

Personal narrative 2011:      My family moved to Loveland from SE Nebraska when I was 9. I began the 4th grade in Lincoln school. Bill was at Lincoln for the 5th grade but we were not well acquainted. We didn't really get acquainted until after high school when we were both working in Ft. Collins.  Bill worked for Larimer County as a surveyor and I was working at Public Service Co. We will be celebrating our 47th wedding anniversary in September.

In spite of having had cancer on two occasions, I have been fortunate to have remained cancer-free for 9 years.  In fact, I am feeling as good as I have ever felt, thanks to modern medicine and skilled doctors.

I am looking forward to many more years together with my one and only love, Bill
