Q1    What are some of your positive and some of your negative experiences with modern technology?

I love my computer! I had a cell phone for a year and never used it, so I got rid of it. I know I will have to have one when they discontinue land lines. I am not on Face Book, Twitter or any other social net work. I am a dinosaur!

I am grateful for the advances in medicine. I am alive because of them.

Q2    What are some of your most memorable experiences?

So many! Attending school in Loveland from Kindergarten through 12th grade was a wonderful gift. Making lifelong friendships with many of my classmates.

Going to Cosmetology School in 1974 and eventually owning a salon in Westminster in the 80's.

Traveling to Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean, and 43 of the 50 states, including Alaska and Hawaii.

Q3    What fun activities/hobbies, etc. do you participate in?

I collect Swarovski Crystal figures. I love to play Video Poker in Black Hawk, but haven't been able to go much this year. I spend time with my friends and travel with them occasionally. I loved camping and fishing with my late husband, but haven't gone since he died.

Helping with planning the class reunions has been fun.

Q4    What are some of the major changes in your life?

I lost my husband, Merle, in August of 2006, just three weeks before our last class reunion. I have had several surgeries, including the most recent, open heart bypass surgery in March. I am healing and getting stronger every week. I still work, but only two days a week in my salon in my home.

Personal narrative 2011       I hope those of you who are able to attend the reunion will seek me out and give me your comments on the reunion activities. It has been great communicating with so many of you these past years.
