Q1    What are some of your positive and some of your negative experiences with modern technology?

PRO:

·         I love Email and to be able to contact people at any time and for them to          respond at their convenience.

·         Writing and correspondence is so fast on the computer and the computer knows how to spell better than I do!

·         Digital cameras are wonderful--even I can take centered pictures and erase my mistakes.

CON:

·         When I don't save a document I am working on and I lose all of it.  YUK!

·         I find that people who have to be on the phone 24/7 can be very annoying and at times, rude.

·         People who are constantly "texting" while in conversation with you or while eating dinner at the table.

Q2    What are some of your most memorable experiences?

Besides my marriage and the birth of my son... I would include the following:

My Son and I were in New York City on Sept. 11, 2001.  He was working for the Denver Post and covered many of the news items on 9/11.  We were staying at Times Square and when all the traffic left the city, it was really surreal.

I was the first woman to become an officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Being first at anything can be very eye-opening.  There were many funny incidents (like no ladies restrooms in the men's Cloak room).

I have walked on the Great Wall of China.  I have seen the great barrier reef in Australia; and I have walked in the Garden of Gethsemane in Jerusalem and truly felt the presence of my God.

Q3    What fun activities/hobbies, etc. do you participate in?

I still live on and manage a farm south of Loveland and have a wonderful view of the Rocky Mountains which I enjoy every day.

I have three dogs (outside) and one cat inside to share my free hours.

I volunteer at the McKee Medical Center primarily in the McKee Gift Shop.  I am a buyer for the shop and get to take numerous buying trips in search of new merchandise.  I also do many of the display windows and help with stocking, inventory and clerking.

I attend Trinity Lutheran Church, but am still a member of a Mt. View Presbyterian Church Circle.  I belong to PEO, a book club and several study groups.

I love sports--the Bronco's, the Avalanche, the Rockies and even the Nuggets.  I enjoy spending time with friends and especially my Son and his family in Dallas.

Q4    What are some of the major changes in your life?

·         Leaving Colorado and going to Wisconsin for Grad School;

·         Moving to Dallas, Texas and living there 15 years;

·         Marrying my husband Jerry and acquiring 3 step-children;

·         Moving back to Loveland and semi-retiring;

·         Losing people that I love including my parents and the loss of my

Husband, Jerry, to colon cancer;

·         Living life as a widow;

·         Adapting to all the changes in life--especially technology and

changing public values and morals;  Some good -- Some Bad!

·         Realizing that God has a plan for each one of us, and accepting this

with faith in the future.

Personal narrative 2011: I will miss seeing everyone in September since I will be in Dallas, Texas celebrating the 1 year old Birthday of my youngest Grandson Logan on the 17th of September.  (The "duties" of Grandma take priority over all of my other activities.)

I do appreciate all of the work that our classmates have done for the reunion.  I would especially like to thank Luretta and Mike Dawsey for all they do and for the great website.  Great Job!!!
