Q1    What are some of your positive and some of your negative experiences with modern technology?

All I can say is thank God for my children when it comes to dealing with new phones or computers.

Q2    What are some of your most memorable experiences?

Q3    What fun activities/hobbies, etc. do you participate in?

I keep busy volunteering in Athens, Tx. at the food pantry, serving food at a local church's "Meals of Kindness" and also as a "pink lady" at the hospital.

My husband and I enjoy traveling and have been on some very nice trips within the U.S. and cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean.

Q4    What are some of the major changes in your life?

One of the major events that has changed my life and that of my family was my brother's accident about 30+ years ago.  He was involved in a gas explosion and was critically burned.  He has been medically disabled since then, but has been able to lead a fairly active life in spite of some physical disabilities. David was two years behind me at LHS.

Personal narrative 2011       I am so happy that I will be able to attend my first reunion with all of you.  After reading all of your stories from the last reunion and seeing what interesting lives you have lived, it will be so much fun to get reacquainted.

It is hard to believe that my husband and I have been retired to beautiful east Texas for almost 8 years.  It is even harder to believe that I graduated from high school fifty years ago.  And when I tell people my children are in their forties, it doesn't sound correct when I hear myself saying it.  But, it is all true!

My grandchildren live about two hours from me, so I don't really get to see them as much as I would like, of course.  My oldest granddaughter, Haylee, is a junior and cheerleader at Sam Houston University.  Her sister, McKenzie, is a senior in Grandview.  Their brother, Brazos, will be in first grade this year.  (You would never guess by his name that he is a Texan.) I'm sure your grandchildren have asked you similar questions, but Brazos did ask me about a year ago if the dinosaurs were still living when I was little.  When I told him no, he asked "how about Adam and Eve"?

Looking forward to seeing y'all!!!
